Siemens China Research Institute X Machinery Industry Information Research Institute jointly released an evaluation model for innovation capability of small and medium-sized enterprises

On November 6, 2023, Siemens China Research Institute and Machinery Industry Information Research Institute jointly released the market’s first evaluation model for diagnosing, benchmarking, and analyzing the innovation capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises at the 6th China International Import Expo. This model aims to provide valuable references for small and medium-sized enterprises in the formulation and execution of innovation strategies, cultivation of comprehensive innovation capabilities, and construction of innovation organizations, thereby guiding and assisting small and medium-sized enterprises in accelerating their development through innovation.

For the Chinese market, small and medium-sized enterprises are thriving and have been listed as a key target for cultivation by the Chinese government. These enterprises have strong innovation vitality, but they still face numerous problems in terms of technology accumulation and innovative management concepts. On the road to progress towards the future, there is still a long way to go. It is crucial for small and medium-sized enterprises to help them conduct more scientific and comprehensive self-evaluation, have a clearer understanding of their problems and shortcomings, improve the direction and focus of improvement, and enhance their corresponding capabilities with a targeted approach.
