The China Europe Partnership Dialogue was successfully held in Beijing today. The event, with the theme of “co shaping new momentum for green development”, gathered about 200 representatives from 70 well-known European enterprises and relevant business associations, as well as nearly 50 Chinese enterprises and institutions, to exchange and discuss topics such as deepening practical cooperation in the field of green and low-carbon development between China and Europe.
Dr. Xiao Song attended the event and shared his unique insights on how Chinese and European enterprises can work together to accelerate low-carbon transformation in industries during his keynote speech.

In this era where uncertainty has become the norm, green development is not only about grasping the certainty of the future, but also a structural opportunity that can be actively explored for enterprises.
Europe has rich experience and technological resources in green transformation, while China has shown enormous market potential in scaling up low-carbon industries. China Europe cooperation can not only accelerate technological innovation and application promotion, but also become an important force in maintaining economic multilateralism and free trade.
As a leading global technology company, Siemens continues to pursue technological breakthroughs and unleash the potential for the integration of digitalization and low-carbon development.
We continue to share the best practices of global digital technology applications with the industry. For example, Siemens Chengdu Digital Factory has received nearly 60000 visits from entrepreneurs in the past 10 years. Siemens’ world’s first native digital factory was put into operation in Nanjing in June last year, and more than 7000 entrepreneurs have visited it in just over a year.
We continuously introduce innovative, efficient, and green new technologies. For example, solutions such as SiGREEN and Smart ECX have been applied in companies such as Beijing Benz, Hongqi Instrument, and Datong Gear, helping them achieve a win-win situation in terms of economic and environmental benefits.
In addition, we are committed to building a new ecosystem that supports high-quality development. Through the open digital business platform Siemens Xcelerator, enterprises from different industries and fields gather their strength, share, co create, and achieve win-win results. In the past year since its landing in China, the platform has launched nearly 20 locally developed innovative solutions and has nearly 40 ecological partners.
With the help of everyone, there is no invincibility. To achieve the “dual carbon” goal, all parties need to work together and build an ecosystem. Siemens will continue to leverage localized value chains and global resources, driven by digitalization and low-carbon, to jointly strengthen a mutually beneficial green ecosystem with partners from all sides.
The event is jointly organized by the International Cooperation Department of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Beijing Municipal People’s Government, and hosted by the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Energy Conservation Center, and the Fengtai District People’s Government of Beijing. Next, the National Development and Reform Commission will continue to organize and carry out a series of dialogue activities on key areas of cooperation between China and Europe.
