On March 28th, Cui Shan, Chairman and President of Central Control Technology, was interviewed by Zhejiang TV to discuss key topics such as the launch of the company’s investment in the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the Innovation Center) and the release of the first fully self-developed humanoid robot complete machine “Navigator 1” by the Innovation Center, as well as the prospects of industry university research cooperation in the development of humanoid robots and their practical application in industrial scenarios.
Cui Shan stated that currently, central control technology is fully deepening its investment layout in the field of “AI+robots”, actively incubating the humanoid robot industry, and committed to reshaping production methods and promoting industrial intelligence development through AI technology innovation. The Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center focuses on the research and development of intelligent sensing technology and complete machine systems for humanoid robots. It will create a comprehensive innovation platform that integrates humanoid robot technology research and development, achievement transformation, talent cultivation and industrial development, and industrial radiation. As the largest shareholder of the Innovation Center, the capital investment of Zhongkong Technology, rich industry application scenarios, technological achievements in industrial software, and R&D talent resources will provide solid support for the rapid iteration of technology in the development of humanoid robots in the Innovation Center.

The first humanoid robot, Navigator 1, released this time, is completely independently developed in China. It is 1.5 meters tall and weighs 50 kilograms. The hardware includes a new planetary reducer, a lightweight humanoid robotic arm, and a multi degree of freedom dexterous hand. The multi degree of freedom dexterous hand has 15 finger joints, 6 active degrees of freedom, a fingertip force of 10N, a single hand weight of 600g, and a joint speed of 150 degrees per second. At the same time, Navigator 1 innovatively integrates mechanism control, imitation learning, and reinforcement learning methods, relying on multiple technologies such as AI large models, computing power, sensors, and control systems to achieve breakthroughs in hardware and algorithm aspects. It has been applied and commercially recognized in leading enterprises, and has important prospects for promoting the construction of a humanoid robot industry ecosystem.

Cui Shan stated that compared to traditional humanoid robots that emphasize the connection between parts and the entire machine, the cooperation between central control technology and innovation centers is more important in achieving breakthroughs in artificial intelligence “brain” and application scenarios. In the era of industrial AI, robot technology not only needs to remain at the operational level, but also needs to explore its capabilities in planning and scheduling, truly unleashing value beyond the human brain. Secondly, the implementation of scenarios and industrialization determines the success and development space of the field of humanoid robots in the future. Connecting technological implementation with industrial demand will bring new value and empowerment to the industrial landscape.

As the crystallization of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, humanoid robots can be widely used in industries, ports, aerospace, special industries, and other fields, with broad market prospects. Cui Shan stated that for central control technology, exploring the application of humanoid robots in industrial scenarios is of great value for the disruptive development of the industry. In the future, it can replace human operations in various dangerous operation fields, making industrial production processes safer and more efficient. Central Control Technology will continue to deepen cooperation with the Innovation Center, and has signed strategic cooperation framework agreements with 9 units including China Electronics Technology Group Co., Ltd. to jointly build a sound industrial ecosystem for the research and development of humanoid robot technology and the transformation of achievements.

Currently, central control technology is accelerating its transformation from DCS and automation companies to industrial AI companies, building an exclusive competitive advantage with “AI+data” as the core, and providing highly innovative intelligent value for process industry customers. Central Control Technology will fully invest in the field of “AI+robotics”, committed to the industrialization of humanoid robots and their derivative intelligent robots, core key components, cultivate new businesses and technologies in the direction of humanoid robots in the entire industry, deeply integrate industrial scenarios, build an application bridge for AI technology innovation and industrialization, and empower global process enterprises to usher in a new era of industrial intelligence.

  1. Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!

  2. Nice read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing a little research on that. And he just bought me lunch because I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch! “Without friends no one would choose to live, though he had all other goods.” by Aristotle.

  3. Pretty element of content. I just stumbled upon your blog and in accession capital to claim that I get in fact enjoyed account your weblog posts. Any way I will be subscribing in your augment and even I fulfillment you get entry to persistently quickly.
