The ABB PCD235B101 3BHE032025R0101 excitation controller supports USB functions including isochronous data transmission, asynchronous messaging, self identification and configuration of peripheral devices, and dynamic (hot) attachments. The controller is also equipped with four 16550 compatible serial ports, one on the front panel and the remaining three connected to P2. These ports support a baud rate of up to 115 Kbaud and have independent 16 byte FIFO functionality. The controller is equipped with two 16 bit timers and two 32-bit timers, which are fully software programmable and can be used to generate PCI bus interrupts and trigger watchdog timers. These features allow users to customize settings as needed to meet specific power system requirements.
