Product Description

IS200EPSMG1ABB is an exciter power module manufactured by GE for its Mark VI series. MKVI is part of the Speedtronic gas/steam turbine management system family, which has been produced by GE since the release of MKI in 1969. MKVI includes a PC based operator interface (HMI) that can communicate with the main processor using Ethernet connected cards in the control module. The operator interface allows for viewing all analog and digital data, including time stamps of events and alarms, from one location.

The function of IS200EPSMG1ABB is to convert the 125 VDC of EPDM into the voltage required for the control system. This includes+5 VDC,+/-15 VDC, and+24 VDC.

The front panel of IS200EPSMG1ABB contains seven LED lights. These lights are labeled as P5, P15, N15, P24A, P24B, N24B, and P70. The front panel also includes the GE logo and motherboard identification number.

 

IS200EPSMG1ABB consists of multiple large components. This includes a transformer in the frame and a large inductor labeled Bicron B9309 0912. There is also another smaller inductor coil (L2). Other capacitors are also located on the board. The board uses both metal film and carbon composite resistors. Nine fuses are located on the surface of the board. Most of them are located in the upper left quadrant, but fuse seven is located on the right side of the board. The board also includes multiple integrated circuits, TP test points, and two backplane connectors.
