IC698CPE030-GJ is a 600 MHz CPU (central processing unit) produced by GE Fanuc for the RX7i series. The selected features of IC698CPE030 include battery powered user memory and non-volatile flash memory for data, high-capacity memory access, configurable data/program memory, and automatic positioning of symbolic variables. This CPU supports 90-70 series discrete and analog I/O, communication, and other modules, including VME modules.

This CPU is equipped with a Pentium-M microprocessor. It has 64 MB of user memory and user flash memory. As an RX7i CPU, the IC698CPE030-GJ is configured for real-time control of processes and material handling structures. The IC698CPE030-GJ unit communicates with I/O and intelligent option modules using the VME64 standard format through a rack mounted backplane. To communicate with programmers and different HMI devices, use embedded Ethernet ports. The serial port using SNP Slave protocol can also be used for communication.

After power on, IC698CPE030-GJ begins a complete self diagnostic examination. During initialization, the LED lights will emit ON or OFF states in a specific order. After the initialization process is completed, the OK LED will flash and then light up.
