Product Description

The IS200VTURH1BAA board is part of the GE Mark VI Speedtronic system. This control system is used for the control and maintenance of steam or gas industrial turbines.

IS200VTURH1BAA is the main turbine protection card. It has multiple functions, including:

Control (3) overspeed trip relays located on the TRPx terminal board. The board has nine magnetic relays interconnected with three trip solenoid valves. In the TMR system, all nine relays are used. In a simplex system, only three relays are used.

Monitor (8) Geiger Muller flame detector. These are only for gas turbine applications.

Monitoring induction shaft current and voltage

Close the main circuit breaker/provide automatic generator synchronization.

Measure turbine speed using (4) passive pulse rate device.

IS200VTURH1BAA can only be installed in the VME processor rack during power outage. The top and bottom levers should be used to push the board in to secure the edge connectors. Then use self tapping screws (top and bottom) to secure the board in place within the rack system. The narrow front panel only has these fixing screws, a D-shaped housing connector, and three LED indicator lights. These indicators are labeled as’ status’, ‘failed’, and ‘running’.

This board is designed to measure turbine speed through up to four pulse rate signals. This is in the application of simplex. The board can also be used for TMR applications, but the way the signal is picked up is different.
