The industrial Ethernet switch IS420ESWBH3A is part of the Mark VIe security control system designed by General Electric. This switch does not have fiber optic ports, but has 16 copper ports, which are 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports. The main operation of this switch is to act as a primary Ethernet switch, with a focus on the ability to buffer multicast and broadcast data packets. Each port should have enough space to buffer a data packet; If multiple incoming streams are sent to the switch, the switch can only accept one of the multiple streams and buffer the remaining streams for future transmission.
There are LED indicators on the IS420ESWBH3A switch. There is one power LED indicator, and the remaining LED indicators are used for activity and link functions. When the link LED is constantly yellow, it indicates that a 10 MB link is being used; When it is constantly green, it indicates that a 100 MB link is in use, and when the LED light is not on, it indicates that there is no link. The color of the activity LED is also green and yellow, but they will flash. When the LED is flashing green, it indicates that the activity is in full duplex state; When flashing yellow, it indicates that the activity is in a half duplex state.
The IS420ESWBH3A switch can be installed in multiple ways, and can be installed using DIN rails in parallel or vertical applications. If necessary, it can also be panel mounted. Installation of IS420ESWBH3A
For new installations, install the switch on the control system panel using DIN rails. Connect copper and/or fiber optic cables according to system redundancy and requirements. Connect the switch to a 28 V DC power supply on the power distribution board.

When a primary switch receives a continuous stream of broadcast or multicast packets, it must send them out after fully receiving them. Switch replacement
When replacing non managed switches with ESWA or ESWB, existing mounting brackets (which can be panel mounted or DIN rail mounted) will be used. There are seven screw holes for panel installation on the current switch.
