The VMIVME-5565-110000 Reflective Memory Node Card provides a high-speed, low latency, deterministic interface that allows data to be shared between up to 256 independent systems (nodes) at a rate of up to 170 Mbytes/s. Each reflective memory board can be configured with 64 MB or 128 MB onboard SDRAM. Local SDRAM provides fast read access time to stored data. The written content is stored in local SDRAM and broadcasted to other reflective memory nodes through high-speed fiber optic data paths. The data transmission between nodes is software transparent, so there is no need for I/O overhead. The transmit and receive FIFO buffers data during peak data rates to optimize processor and bus performance, thereby maintaining high data throughput.
