Frequently Asked Questions about IS200EDCFG1AED
What is the IS200EDCFG1AED model?
The IS200EDCFG1AED model is labeled by General Electric as an Exciter dc Feedback Board.
What is the primary function of the IS200EDCFG1AED model?
The primary function of this unit is to measure field voltage and field currents from the silicon control rectifier (SCR) bridge when mounted in the EX2100 Excitation Control. When the model is used with the EX2100 system, it will interface with the EISB board located in the cabinet’s control panel over high-speed fiber-optic links. The fiber-optic links used with this model are used to assist with high noise immunity and voltage isolation.
Does the EDCF board have any status LEDs?
Only one status LED is available on this model; the LED is a green LED labeled PSOK and is primarily used in indicating the power supply of the model; note that the power supply needed to properly operate this board is taken from an external unit. The PSOK LED is driven by the ±15 VDC output voltages.
Product Description
The IS200EDCFG1AED is an Exciter Direct Current (DC) Feedback Board designed as a component for the Mark VI series. The IS200EDCFG1AED is used to measure field current and field voltage at the SCR bridge. It interfaces with the EISB board in the control panel. The voltage isolation function on the EDCF board will be accomplished through a fiber-optic link; two fiber-optic links can be used to provide high noise immunity. The two typical fiber-optic links associated with this model are hard-clad silica-type fiber optics used for distances up to approximately three-hundred feet (90 meters) or a plastic-type fiber optic used for distances up to approximately thirty-three feet (10 meters). The field voltage feedback circuit on the IS200EDCFG1AED has seven selector settings that scale down the bridge voltage.
The IS200EDCFG1AED has two relays, a coil inductor, six integrated circuits, and multiple transistors. Heat sinks are used in two locations to help dissipate heat more quickly to allow components to work at their optimum level. The board has two plugs. These include a two-position plug labeled P1 and a four-position plug listed as an input. The EDCF board has one main connector, which is connector J16. This connector has two pins and has different but slightly similar functions. Pin one on the J16 connector is used for external power with a +24 VDC input to the DC-DC converter, while pin two is also used for external power and DC-DC conversion with a 24 VDC common.(https://www.weikunfadacai1.com/)

Reviews For IS200EDCFG1AED
The IS200EDCFG1AED board can interface with several models when used in the EX2100 Excitation Control systems; the main board that the EDCF unit interfaces with is the EISB board, which accepts the field current and voltages from the SCR bridge. For more information regarding the functionality of this board, refer to the GEI-100464 Manual.
