  Product Description

IS200TPROH1C is a turbine specific I/O module. It aims to provide direct interfaces for specific turbine field equipment. This setting eliminates or reduces many previously required instruments for connecting to on-site equipment, while also improving operational reliability and reducing long-term maintenance. IS200TPROH1C is typically used in conjunction with TREAH-A terminal blocks for emergency trip applications in aviation derived turbines. This component can be connected to barriers or box terminal blocks. IS200TPROH1C  has voltage sensing field wiring limitations, limiting cable length to 1000 feet for 18 AWG wiring. It should be noted that IS200TPROH1C cannot be automatically reconfigured when exchanging BPPB P-Pack with BPPC P-Pack.IS220PSVOH1B(1)

IS200TPROH1C is equipped with a front panel that is labeled with component ID numbers and multiple LED indicator lights. These indicator lights are placed in pairs on the front panel. The first pair is marked as PWR/ATTN, the second pair is marked as LINK/TxRx and ENET 1, and the third pair is marked as LINK/TxRx and ENET2. IS200TPROH1C is a backup turbine protection (PPRO) I/O package developed by GE. The backup turbine protection (PPRO) I/O package and related terminal boards provide an independent backup overspeed protection system, as well as backup checks for synchronization between the generator and the common bus. They also serve as independent watchdog for main control. Three Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) PPRO I/O packages installed on separate Simplex Protection (SPRO) terminal blocks or three PPROs installed on TMR TPROH # C terminal blocks form a typical protection system. Each SPRO or TPROH # C is connected to the designated emergency trip board through a cable with DC-37 pin connections at both ends:

TREG represents the emergency trip terminal block for gas turbines.

TREL: Emergency Trip Terminal Block for Large Steam Turbines

TRES: Emergency trip terminal block for small and medium-sized steam turbines

Different configurations place three PPRO I/O packages directly on TREA for single board TMR protection systems. In order to communicate with the control module through IONet, PPRO includes an Ethernet connection.


  Function Description

The I/O package contains two Ethernet ports, a power supply, a local processor, and a data acquisition board. This design simplifies or eliminates most of the instruments previously required to connect on-site equipment, while improving operational reliability and reducing long-term maintenance costs.

The Mark VIe control trip board TRES supports simplex backup protection.

The controller IONet has a PPRO network port.

All Mark VIe control backup trip boards, TREG, TREL, TREA, and TRES have TMR backup protection function. In this setup, each I/O packet is connected to a different (R, S, T) controller network.

  Triple control

When using TMR main control, backup protection (two out of three operation) is supported. All Mark VIe control backup trip boards (TREG, TREL, TREA, and TRES) support this setting. In standard network configuration, the first PPRO I/O packet is connected to the R network, the second PPRO is connected to the S network, and the third PPRO is connected to the T network.
