  Function Description

IS415UCVHH1A is a controller board manufactured and designed by General Electric. It is part of the Mark VIe series innovative VME platform for gas turbine control systems. A single board computer (SBC) is called a Mark VIe UCVH controller, with a height of 6U, and can operate turbine application code. The controller is connected to the turbine I/O board through the VME bus and installed on the VME rack called the control module. QNX is a real-time multitasking operating system created specifically for industrial applications that require high speed and reliability, used as a controller operating system. Provide the following connections to the operator and engineering interface through three communication ports:

Ethernet connection to UDH for communication between HMI and other control devices.

Establish an RS-232C connection through the COM1 port.

RS-232C connection is used for communication with Distributed Control System (DCS) based on COM2 port.

  Surgery

The software of the controller is designed specifically for goods such as steam, natural gas, land sea derivatives (LM), or equipment balancing (BOP). Assuming a regular set of blocks has an average size, it can execute up to 100000 steps or blocks per second.

Through an external clock interrupt, the controller is able to synchronize to the clock of the VCMI communication board within 100 microseconds.

The VCMI communication board uses the VME bus to send and receive external data from the control system database (CSDB) in the controller.

The process inputs and outputs of the I/O board constitute the data in a simplex system. The data in the TMR system consists of inputs from the input board, individual inputs from the simplex board, calculated outputs voted by the output hardware, and internal state values that need to be exchanged between controllers.

  Installation

The controller and VCMI are two components that make up the control module.

The GE Fanuc integrated opportunity rack shown in the figure below and the two sizes of Mark VIe racks shown in the section titled “VCMI – Bus Master Controller” are examples of three types of racks that can be used. Only independent modules with remote I/O are used in shorter GE Fanuc racks. Long Mark VIe racks that support local and remote I/O are available.

The cooling fan is located above or below the controller, depending on the rack used. The independent control module used in the GE Fanuc integrated business rack also requires a VDSK board to provide fan power and identify the rack through ID connection.

IS415UCVHH1A is the VME control board of the Mark VIe distributed control system series, supporting simplex, duplex, and triple redundant systems. As a controller, IS415UCVH uses many common components in personal computers, such as RAM slots, 128MB flash drives, heat sinks CMOS batteries, etc. The panel of the board has 2 USB ports, 2 Ethernet ports, 2 COM ports (with corresponding LEDs), mouse/keyboard connectors, and VGA display ports.
