Product Description
SR469-P5-HI-A20-T is an SR469 Multilin relay. This is one of several versions of the series that we are preparing to ship in our warehouse inventory. If this specific unit does not meet your exact requirements, please check the other units we sell.
SR469-P5-HI-A20-T has a five ampere phase CT secondary and high rated control power supply (90-300 VDC, 70-265 VAC @ 48-62 Hz.) This specific device has a 4-20 mA analog output. It has a standard front panel. The front panel includes a 40 digit LCD display screen, LED indicator lights, numeric keypad, and other input keys.
The device is equipped with an optional 10BaseT Ethernet port. This can help you connect your device to a 10 Mbps Ethernet network. The 10BaseT port is a supplement to the three standard serial ports built into the SR469 unit. There is an RS232 port on the front panel. This allows for rapid programming and troubleshooting. In addition, there are two RS485 interfaces on the rear panel of the relay. All three serial ports support the ModBus RTU protocol. By adding Ethernet ports, SR469 also supports ModBus RTU through TCP/IP protocol.
The 469 relay is designed to provide voltage and frequency protection, prevent ground faults through two dedicated ground current inputs, detect load loss, reverse active power, current imbalance, and over torque to protect the load from mechanical damage.
For more information on the SR469-P5-HI-A20-T relay, please refer to the GE Multilin manual. Before unpacking from AX Control, please read through the original GE documentation for information on handling and safety requirements. This is for your safety and to ensure the lifespan of the new equipment.
Frequently asked questions about SR469-P5-HI-A20-T
How to input motor protection settings for GE’s SR469-P5-HI-A20-T motor relay?
To set motor protection for the SR469-P5-HI-A20-T motor relay, it must be done in the S6 current component settings in the “Motor Protection” title tab. Some settings for this motor protection should remain disabled. Please refer to the manual for more information on the settings that need to remain disabled. Pressing the “MESSAGE” key allows you to move to the next setting message. Since the specifications are not numerical values, these settings must remain “OFF”, and overload alarms, mechanical paper jams, undercurrent, and phase differences must be set to “OFF”. For more specifications on the protection settings of this motor, please refer to the manual with part numbers 1601-0122-A9.
What additional settings are there when starting the motor of the GE SR469-P5-HI-A20-T motor management relay?
You can find other settings on the S7 motor startup settings page located on the motor protection title page. In the manual, you can find the setting changes for the acceleration timer and start inhibit component. For these elements, the jogging block and restart block need to be set in the “off” position. For the start inhibit component in the S7 motor start setting, the start inhibit block must be “opened” and the TC usage margin must be set to 25%. In the case of an acceleration timer component, the acceleration timer trip must be “locked”, the assigned trip relay must be set to “trip”, and the acceleration timer from start must be set to “13 seconds” and the acceleration curve at 100% voltage.
