V7768 is one of Abaco Systems’ first products to leverage the advantages of Intel’s dual core architecture, providing processing speeds of up to 2.16 GHz through the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Intel 945GME Express chipset, and rich I/O sets. In order to simplify installation and maintenance, V7768 adopts the EasyRail PMC installation system, which allows the installation of PMC option boards when they can only be accessed from the exposed “top”. No need to disassemble the multi slot bracket assembly to access the PMC installation screws, greatly reducing configuration time. The V7768 dual slot VME single board computer (SBC), which interfaces with various real-world external devices, provides flexibility for system designers to accommodate a wide and diverse range of I/O functions in a cost-effective manner, while providing excellent processing performance.
V7768 is a VMEbus single board computer from the GE Fanuc intelligent platform, providing dual processors with processing speeds up to 2.16 GHz achieved through Intel Core 2, and supporting up to 2 GB of DDR2 SDRAM.
This board integrates the Intel 945GME Express chipset and provides a very rich I/O set, making it a very flexible supplement to our vast product line with the Intel architecture VME SBC. The I/O options include dual Gigabit Ethernet, two SATA interfaces, four USB 2.0 ports, keyboard/mouse/SVGA front panel, and a PMC site with PCI-X functionality. V7768 also offers Celeron ® The M processor option allows for maximum operating temperature. V7768 provides more customer defined I/O board to board connector functionality for PMC237CM1/V PMC expansion boards from the General Electric Fanuc Intelligent Platform, which offers customers three additional PMC expansion sites in addition to the PCI-X PMC site on V7768.
