The 5466-1145 units were designed by Woodward as MicroNet Plus CPU5200 units for redundant or simplex control systems. This type of equipment is designed for diesel/gas engine control, compressor control, gas/steam turbine, and hydraulic turbine controllers. MicroNet Plus devices are VME based scalable control systems that use simplex or redundant CPUs and power supplies, and can be used with multiple input/output model options. Different types of I/O modules can be customized to meet customer requirements.

The CPU unit CPU5200 on the 5466 1145 is the basic CPU model of the MicroNet series, which can support redundant CAN and Ethernet communication, optional security applications, and can also support up to 8 chassis for I/O intensive applications. There are two available chassis options to meet different space requirements. The chassis size is full size narrow and four slots are reserved for redundant power supplies.

One of the key features of the 5466 1145 model is that even if a large amount of I/O is required, the MicroNet Plus chassis can communicate with up to seven MicroNet Plus chassis extensions. If needed, fiber optic cables and switches can also be used for communication between expansion and host boxes.

The Woodward MicroNet module 5466-1247 is a TMR5200 CPU that can only be used in triple modular redundancy or MicroNet Plus modules as there is no active CAN on the board. It should be noted that there are some kernel power modules that can be used with this machine, but they must be correctly matched. The kernel power models used with this machine are 5466-1049 modules. Some of the features of this device include 128 MB DDR RAM, one service port, two CAN ports, one serial port, one real-time network port, and one real-time network clock.

When the 5466-1049 module is installed in the main box, the device must not only use one CPU, it requires multiple CPUs to operate properly. The TMR5200 CPU is also designed for 3-2-0 operations. There are multiple LED indicators on the front panel, and the list of these LED indicators is as follows:

The above LEDs each have different functions, and the description of a Fault LED is that it actively flashes red when a fault code is needed and detected. LEDs are also grouped together. SYSCON, STANDBY, LVCC, IOLOCK, FAIL, and WDOG LEDs are all grouped together, with the last four being red, the first two being red, SYSCON being green, and STANDBY being yellow.

A key feature of this module is that it can be unplugged when plugged into or removed from the MicroNet Plus or TMR chassis when powered on.
