  Function Description

5464-643 is a discrete input module developed by Woodward. On site switches and relays provide data to the module. The field wiring in each channel is isolated from the MicroNet circuit through an optical isolator, and the status of each discrete input is transmitted to the buffer through the optical isolator. Then the CPU obtains data for each channel through the VME interface. These modules are inserted into the card rails of the controller chassis and connected to the motherboard. Two screws (one at the top of the front panel and one at the bottom of the front panel) secure the module in place. Each 48 Ch DI module is connected to two 24 Vdc discrete input/output FTMs or discrete input (with LED) FTMs through two low-density discrete cables. Connect to FTM processing channels 1-24 of J1, and connect to FTM processing channels 25-48 of J2.
